Discover the most picturesque Georgian high mountains of Kazbegi-Ananuri-Gudauri on a day trip. This one-day trip to the Ananuri-Kazbegi mountains begins from Tbilisi and gets you to the Kazbegi mountain area along the Georgian Military Highway. En route, you will have a thrilling drive over the Georgian Military Highway, i.e., the main road that covers a total of 220 km from Tbilisi to Vladikavkaz in Russia. Historically, this route is important as its history goes back to the 1st century BC. It’s the only link connecting to Russia through the Caucasus Mountains.

Zhinvali Dam – is a hydroelectric dam on the Aragvi River in Zhinvali, Georgia in the Caucasus Mountains. Irrespective of its clearly synthetic roots, reservoir mixes in with the encompassing atmosphere flawlessly and pleasures visitors with its Aqua blue waters.
Ananuri – is a fortress situated on the foreland by the Aragvi River, near Zhinvali water reservoir and about 70 km from Tbilisi, Georgia. It was constructed by the Dukes of Aragvi and its earliest parts date from the 13th century. The fortress is on the UNESCO Tentative list.
Gudauri – The ski resort is situated on the south-facing plateau of The Greater Caucasus Mountain Range in Georgia. The resort is located in the Stepantsminda District, over the Georgian Military Highway close to the Cross Pass, at an height of 2,200 meters, above sea level with skiable area enjoying maximum sun exposure. The ski season continues from December to April.
Monument or Treaty ( of Georgievsk Monument ) is a monument build in 1983 to commemorate the bicentennial of the Treaty of Georgievsk and continuing friendship between Georgia and Soviet Russia. Situated on the Georgian Military Highway between the ski resort town of Gudauri and the Jvari pass, the monument is a large round rock and concrete structure looking over the Devil’s Valley in the Caucasus mountains. Inside of the monument is a huge tile mural that covers the whole area of the structure and describes scenes of Georgian history.
Gergeti Trinity Church – The old Georgian Church is situated under the Mount Kazbek, 2170m above the town of Stepantsminda (former Kazbegi) and village of Gergeti whose name she had adopted. The church is reputed as Gergeti trinity Church thought Georgians call it Gergeti Tsminda Sameba.It was constructed in the 14th century, but not much is recognized to us of its history, although it was pointed out in one of the guide books from 1906, that the church was built on the place that used to be pagan idols worshiping. And in 18th century, the church turned into storage for main Georgian relics that were transported here in the time of Persian invasion to Tbilisi.
